Brrr…. It’s Cold in Here

Well yes, technically, it is cold these days. But if you, like us, are rabid fans of the 2000 Cheerleading movie ‘Bring It On’, you know there’s only one way to complete the phrase above.

That’s right, there must be some Toros in the atmosphere. And better still, starting in January there will be some Toros singing, dancing, and cheering on the stage of the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, home of the world premiere of ‘Bring it On: The Musical’!

Although this alone is enough to send us into squeals of delight, the fact that this new musical is written by Jeff Whitty (writer of ‘Avenue Q’), Lin-Manuel Miranda (Composer and Lyricist of ‘In The Heights’), Tom Kitt (Pulitzer-Prize-winning composer of ‘Next to Normal’), and Amanda Green (lyricist of ‘High Fidelity’) and stars studio clients Helene York, Nick Blaemire, and Christy Altomare, well, we almost needed to breathe into a paper bag to stop hyperventilating.

For now, they’ve only released this teaser of the musical, but we will happily take it for now, and get our cheer outfit already for a field trip to Atlanta.
