Tony time is around the corner – we have less than a week until the songs are sung, the jokes are joked, and theater nerds across the country are drawn together to see the numbers that they will be fervidly youtubing for the next ten years. And while we have been singing the praises of American Idiot, there are many people who will be celebrated on Sunday.
One such nugget of awesome is someone who has been a favorite at the studio for, oh, ever. Not only is he so talented and charming that an entire audience palpably perks up when he enters the stage (no, seriously – if you doubt us, go see ‘La Cage Aux Folles’ (the Tony nominating committee clearly did, and paid attention to his scene-stealing – he’s nominated for best supporting actor in a musical!!) and listen to the audience when they spot him coming!), he is so lovely a human being in life that it is impossible to meet him without loving him immediately.
