Theater awards season is firmly upon us, so much so that you wonder if the stars have any time to breathe, or if they just sleep in their black tie to save time between events. And while this flurry of finery can be incredibly fun, it is also a wonderful thing to watch the people who make theater great every year be honored for their work. And luckily, this Sunday saw that happen, with Michael Mayer winning best Director of a Musical for his work on ‘American Idiot’. We here at the studio feel it was much deserved, and send him a fierce punk-rock headbang of congratulations.
