Simple and Somehow Sublime

We’ll admit it – we here at the studio are all pretty much obsessed with the new revival of Ragtime. Spare and elegant, it strips down the epic story to it’s bones and somehow manages to highlight the majesty and emotion of the piece. And that cast! It’s an embarrassment of riches, including the awesome Bobby Steggert, a student of the studio and a megatalent. So we were sad that they weren’t included in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (the show clips are why we watch!), only to learn today that apparently CBS includes pre-taped clips of other shows before they show the parade footage. This year, they included Ragtime, and filmed this little clip on the very pier where immigrants would first arrive. Despite some sound synching issues, you can see a little bit of how impressive this show is. Go buy tickets!
